CAMBRIDGE – Gertrude “Trudy” Ambrose, 71, died Sept. 22, 2011, at her residence. She was born May 4, 1940, in Hamden, Conn., a daughter of Lester and Virginia (Kammerer) Ambrose.
She was a member of Cambridge Baptist Church.
She is survived by lifelong friends, Ray and Louise Cogswell of Cambridge, with whom she made her home; a brother, Lester Ambrose of Bowdoinham; a sister, Christine Lalla of Brunswick; two nephews, Donald Ambrose of Kentucky and Lester Ambrose of Brunswick; and two nieces, Gayle Hulesbeck of Bowdoin and Brenda Hires of Florida.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at Cambridge Baptist Church with the Rev. William Inman officiating. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter. Those who wish may leave written tributes at
