BANGOR – Dennis A. Rudnicki, 48, died unexpectedly Sept. 22, 2011, at a Boston hospital after a brief illness. He was born Nov. 24, 1962, in Bangor, son of Marion A. “Rud” and Jeanne (Doyon) Rudnicki.

Dennis attended schools in Bangor and owned and operated his own landscaping and property maintenance business, Rudnicki Landscaping, Inc. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved snowmobiling, hunting, mountain biking and motorcycling. Dennis loved children, especially his own niece and nephews, and he treated them as they were his own.

In addition to his father, Dennis is survived by his brother, David Rudnicki and his wife, Bonnie (Hichborn), of Bangor; his sister, Lisa Pedersen and her husband, Bob, of Corinth; two nephews and a niece, Emily and Kyle Pedersen of Corinth and Jeffery Hichborn of Hudson; a great-niece, Brooklyn of Hudson; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother in August 2011.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, York Street, Bangor. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor. A time of fellowship and refreshments will be immediately afterward in the parish center.
