HARRINGTON – Carmen West Dorr, 85, died Sept. 30, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Sept. 8, 1926, in Steuben, daughter of Emery and Nancy West.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harry F. Dorr, in 1980. She is survived by her daughter, Ellen Rossi and her husband, Nolan; her son, Erwin Dorr Sr. and his wife, Tammy; grandchildren, Charles Rossi and his wife, Jan, Ernest Dorr, Erwin Dorr Jr. and his wife, Sarah, Jolette RossiWest and her husband, Jason, and Braley Dorr; great-grandchildren, Harrison and Connor Rossi, and Lainie Dorr; her brothers and sisters, Francis Tuttle, Thelma Cope, Betty Williams, Evelyn Bourgeois, Richard West, Clifford and Ann West, Judy and Steve Berry; a lifelong friend, Muriel Beal; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Philip, William and Robert. The family expresses their appreciation to The Grace Home and their staff for the exceptional care she received during the last year.
There will be a prayer at the grave 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, at Evergreen Cemetery, Milbridge.
