WATERVILLE – Cecile Simone (Dyer) Fountain, 81, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at Oak Grove Center, Waterville. Born April 6, 1930, in Jackman, she was the daughter of Clifford and Alexina (Mathieu) Dyer.
She was educated in the Jackman school system. Cecile married Bruce E. Fountain, Sept. 25, 1948, in Jackman. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo.
She is survived by three daughters, Shirley Smith and husband, David, of Waterville, Patricia Prescott and husband, Dana, of Waterville, and Theresa Hersey and husband, Michael, of Warwick, R.I.; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and two close friends, Carmen Foster and Romeo Reny. She was predeceased by a daughter, April Stevens; and a son, Lawrence Fountain.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family Wednesday, Oct. 5. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make donations in Cecile’s memory to a charity of choice.
