ORLANDO, Fla. – John Leslie Russell, husband of Marilyn McGraw Russell, passed away Sept. 29, 2011, in Orlando, Fla., after a brief illness. He was born Oct. 19, 1927, in Bangor, son of John Leslie Russell Sr. and Evelyn Chaples Russell.
John graduated from Bangor High School and Husson College. He moved to Florida in 1962 and was employed there for 35 years by Avatar Properties, Inc. as their property services manager.
In addition to his wife, John is survived by a son, Karl and his wife, Charlotte; a daughter, Janet Darrah and her husband, Patrick; one granddaughter, Jennifer Russell; one grandson, Sean Murphy; two great-grandsons; a brother, Robert C. Russell of Levant; several nieces and nephews.
There will be a private memorial service for the family. Donations may be made in John’s name to Share the Care, 1010 Arthur Ave., Orlando, FL 32804.
