HOWLAND – Frank Joseph Corriveau, 83, husband of Hazel (Gallant) Corriveau, died suddenly Oct. 3, 2011, surrounded by his family at a Lincoln hospital. He was born Dec. 30, 1927, in Howland, son of Frank and Rose (Bagley) Corriveau.
Frank was a graduate of Howland High School, Class of 1945. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving from 1945 to 1947. He worked for Bangor Hydro for 43 years. Frank was a communicant of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, Howland, and a member of Knights of Columbus and Howland American Legion.
In addition to his wife, Hazel of Howland, he is survived by two daughters, Christine Hatch and Dennis, and Carleen Cote and Rudy; two sons, Steven Corriveau and Jeanne, Daniel Corriveau and Leanne; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Leo and James; and a sister, Mary Jackson.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, Howland, with the Rev. James MacGee officiating.
