INDIALANTIC, Fla. – Frances P. (Kelly) Murray, 83, wife of Charles G. Murray, passed away peacefully Sept. 27, 2011, surrounded by her loving family at her home. Frances was born April 25, 1928, in Bangor, daughter of George A. and Martha T. (McHale) Kelly.

She attended St. Mary’s School and John Bapst High School. She was employed at Eastern Maine Medical Center before meeting and marrying her best friend and life’s companion, Charlie. Soon after marriage, Charlie enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. During Charlie’s 30-plus years of military service Frances and family traveled and lived in many European countries and U.S. cities. Frances had a keen interest in theology and when living in Italy she continued to pursue her theological studies in order to further deepen her own faith and love of God. Frances taught theology in religious education classes to children and adults throughout her travels.

Frances is survived by her husband, Charles; her five children, Mary and her husband, Gene Jacobs of San Jose, Calif., Michael and his wife, Connie, of Boca Raton, Fla., Patty and husband, John Skinner, of Miami, Kelly Bless of Orlando, Fla., and Danny and wife, Jessica, of Indialantic, Fla.; her six grandchildren, Anthony, Angela, Charlie, Laura, Mary and Michael; and her three sisters, Helen Colford, Corena Kelly and Margaret Kelly of Bangor. Frances was predeceased by an infant son, Daniel Murray; brothers, George, at childbirth, Patrick, Roland, Lawrence and Father Anthony Kelly, SCJ; and a sister, Theresa.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Indialantic, Fla. Burial will take place Oct. 31 at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va. Arrangements by Beach Funeral Home, Melbourne, Fla.
