DEER ISLE – Gwendolyn E. Eaton, 68, died Oct. 6, 2011, at a Deer Isle health care facility. She was born Aug. 3, 1943, in Stonington, daughter of Clifford V. and Vera A. (Steele) Eaton.
Gwen enjoyed doing crafts, running her own craft shop and especially reading her Bible.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Dennis Easton of Deer Isle; two children, Jennifer Hutchinson and her husband, Raymond, of Brooklin and Erwyn Eaton of Deer Isle; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; one sister, Audrey Hersom of North Carolina; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one son, Michael Eaton.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, at Hillside Cemetery, Deer Isle. A service of Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Stonington.
