HARRINGTON – Edna Louise Marston, 82, passed away peacefully Oct. 10, 2011, with family by her side. She was born July 23, 1929, in Harrington, daughter of the late Marjorie and Amaziah Beal.
Edna worked in different food factories throughout her life. She enjoyed spending her time with family and friends telling stories. She will be remembered for her open heart and open home. One of her fondest memories was attending a Red Sox game with her grandson, Ryan, and son, Ernest. She saw the Red Sox win two World Series in her life!
Edna is survived by her son, Ernest Marston Jr.; daughter, Carla Fletcher and significant other, Mike, all of Harrington; grandchildren, Brian Marston, Brad Marston and girlfriend, Autumn, Allan Stanwood and wife, Rachael, Ernie Marston III, Marjorie Dodge and husband, Larry, Ryan Fletcher and wife, Rebecca, Melissa Merchant and husband, Waylon, Angela Rackliff and husband, Chris, and Eric Fletcher and fiancee, Heidi; great-grandchildren, Dylon and Jaxson and their mother, Jody, Jade, Brady and Trinity and their mother, Shannon, Michael, Natalie, Renee, Tia, Lillie, Emily, Drew, Alexis, Dustin, Kallie and Erica; special relatives, Edwina, Connie, Earl, Obed Jr., Sonya, Joe, Connie, Colon and Bernice; but most importantly, her dog, Maybell. There are more friends and family too numerous to mention. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Ernest Marston; brothers, Obed Sr., John and Albert; sister, Tellie; and infant daughter, Linda.
The viewing will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, at Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Milbridge, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14. Graveside services will be held immediately after at Gilbert/Pinkham Cemetery, Marshville Road, Harrington, with a celebration of life afterward at Harrington VFW.
