MILLINOCKET – Harvey G. “Babe” Neal Jr., 89, passed away Oct. 12, 2011, after a long illness. Babe was born Jan. 21, 1922, in Millinocket, son of Harvey G. and Ethel (Sears) Neal.
Harvey graduated from Stearns High School, class of 1939. Harvey was a member of Millinocket Elks Lodge No. 1521 for 50 years. He worked at Millinocket Foundry for 45 years.
Harvey is survived by his wife of 70 years, Maxine; daughters, Beverly LaPlante and Noreen McFalls; sons, Jeffery and wife, Linda, and Joel and wife, Ella; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and fifth generation grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Keith; and brother, Brian.
