DOVER, Fla., FORT FAIRFIELD and PRESQUE ISLE – Frank “Sheldon” Haines, 72, died Oct. 11, 2011, surrounded by his family at his residence in Dover, Fla. He was born Dec. 5, 1938, in Fort Fairfield, son of Graydon and Alta (Hill) Haines.
He was a man who worked very hard all his life and enjoyed his retirement the last year by kicking back in his recliner and enjoying his family.
Sheldon is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mary (Ouellette) Haines of Eagle Lake; three daughters, Lisa, Renee and Shelley; one son, Robert; grandchildren, Brandon, Brianna, Mitchel, Zach, Dylan, Kaleb, Paige and Gavin; great-grandson, Blake; and brother, Gary Haines. He was predeceased by his parents, Graydon and Alta Haines; brothers, James, Graydon and Richard; sister, Glenna; and grandchildren, Alexis and Elisha.
His services will be held 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at St. Clements Catholic Church, 1104 North Alexander St., Plant City, Fla. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to his wife, Mary, to assist with funeral costs, and mailed to St. Clements Catholic Church, 1104 North Alexander St., Plant City, FL 33563, care of Mary Haines.
