GLENBURN – Charles S. Sawyer Sr., 81, died peacefully Oct. 17, 2011, at his residence. He was born May 20, 1930, in Garland, son of Guy S. and Ruth M. (Dudley) Sawyer.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters and a grandson. Surviving, in addition to his wife, Frances (Lane) Sawyer, are children, Charles S. and Bonnie Sawyer, Jeffrey and Mina Sawyer, Craig Sawyer, Rodney Sawyer, and Claire Sawyer and partner, Charlie Greene; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Upon his request, a family graveside service will be held in October at Lakeview Cemetery, Glenburn.
