PATTEN – Eleanor Phillips died Oct. 22, 2011, at Houlton Regional Hospital after a period of ill health. She was born April 10, 1921, in Luzerne County, Pa.
Married to Walter W. Phillips for 67 years, they lived in New Jersey, Florida and finally Patten.
Eleanor is survived by her husband, Walter; son, Kenneth and wife, Rebecca, who reside in Patten; one daughter, Nancy Hancock of Science Hill, Ky.; and eight grandchildren, Tara, Jennifer, Brian, Gabriel, Israel, Melissa, Michael and Keith. They also have eight great-grandchildren, Sean, Caleb, Gavin, Paige, Jayden, Graycn, Samantha and Tyler. Eleanor was predeceased by her daughter, Diane and her husband, Warren Heber, of New Jersey.
A memorial service will be held by the family 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, at the home of Kenneth and Rebecca Phillips. The family requests that no flowers be sent.
