FORT KENT – Lorraine (Hebert) Gagnon, 82, died peacefully Oct. 22, 2011, at a Fort Kent health care facility. She was born Feb. 1, 1929, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Joseph and Virginia (Albert) Hebert.

Lorraine was a past member of Ladies of St. Anne, Fort Kent. She loved cooking, knitting, crocheting, sewing and was an avid bingo player. She enjoyed listening and dancing to music. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her seven children, Rinette and her husband, Fernand Dufour, of Farmington, Conn., Philip and his wife, Linda Gagnon, of Fort Kent, Joel and his wife, Brenda Gagnon, of Wallagrass, Cecile and her husband, Danny Marquis, of Frenchville, Claudette and her husband, Bryant Babin, of Fort Kent, Juliette and her husband, Andrew Bouchard, of Sinclair and Lisa Gagnon of Augusta; 20 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Irene Labrie of Frenchville. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Gagnon, Aug. 27, 2011; and three brothers, Adrian, Lucien and Norman Hebert.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent, with the Rev. Jean Paul Labrie officiating. Committal services will be after at the parish cemetery. Those who wish may donate in Lorraine’s memory to American Diabetes Association, 10 Bangor St., Suite F, Augusta, ME 04330.
