MILBRIDGE – Harold Keith Leighton Jr. was born July 9, 1957, to Harold and Rachel (Perry) Leighton. He passed away Oct. 24, 2011, at his home, at the age of 54.
Harold loved to fly and was a licensed pilot for both planes and helicopters. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. Harold was an officer of Red Barn Restaurant & Motel Inc.; he was responsible for the restaurant’s growth and success and was much loved by all his employees. Harold was a proud member of Masonic Lodge and Shriners. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Harold was predeceased by his father, Harold Keith Leighton Sr. He is survived by his mother, Rachel (Perry) Leighton; his wife, Nadine (Warren) Leighton; his daughters, Kristen and John Nabarrete, and Alaina Leighton; his stepchildren, Roy Coombs Jr. and Craig Coombs; and grandchildren, Troy Leighton, Kieran Leighton, Kaia Hopkins and Lillian Nabarrete. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins; and close friend, Anthony Freeman.
Viewing will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, at Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Milbridge, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Milbridge. Condolences may be sent at
