PITTSFIELD – Lois Beverly Braley, 83, died Oct. 25, 2011, at a Bangor hospital after a short illness. She was born Feb. 6, 1928, in Pittsfield, daughter of Joseph and Erma (Sinclair) Seekins.
She graduated from Hartland Academy, class of 1946, and worked for many years for Edwards Co., Pittsfield. Lois was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church, Pittsfield, where she played the organ for more than 30 years. She enjoyed playing the part of family photographer at all of the family gatherings and was known for her knowledge of the family history.
She was predeceased by her husband, Glyndon B. Braley Jr. She is survived by two sons, J. Michael Braley and his companion, Marsha Ballard, of Pittsfield, and Scott Braley of Palmyra; two sisters, Janet Stedman and her husband, Vaughn, of Hartland, and Joann Woodman of St. Albans; granddaughter, Taryn Ann Murray and her husband, James, and their children, Jakob and Jayda; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call noon until the time of funeral services 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at Calvary Baptist Church, Pittsfield, with Pastor Scott Millett officiating.
