EAGLE LAKE – Alain J. Berube, 50, passed away unexpectedly Oct. 28, 2011. He was born Dec. 29, 1960, in Ste. Louis D-Ha’Ha’, son of Marcel and Yvette (Belanger) Berube.
Alain was a member of the Franco American Club for 18 years in Bristol, Conn. He owned and operated a construction business for many years in Bristol, Conn., before moving up to Eagle Lake. He loved playing cards and pool, and was an avid outdoorsman. He had great sense of humor and a passion for life. Alain had a very large extended family both in Canada and the U.S., not to mention the many, many wonderful friends Alain has made on his journey. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by the “love of his life,” Diane Pelletier of Eagle Lake; his mother, Yvette Berube; brother, Mario and his companion, Julia; sisters, Sylvia and her husband, Tim Marlzovich, and Murielle and her husband, Danny Evan, all of Terryville, Conn.; his daughters, Michelle Berube of Illinois, Mellissa Berube of Connecticut and Jessica Berube of Illinois; stepchildren, Angela and her husband, Travis Rodriquez, of Illinois, Kevin and his wife, Sandy Megno, of Bucksport, Danielle Megno of Lisbon Falls and Tony and his wife, Jamie Megno, of Bucksport; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dale and Claudette Pelletier of Plaisted; and 13 beautiful grandchildren who loved their pepere. He was predeceased by his father, Marcel, in 1977.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Daigle Funeral Home, 14 East Main St., Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Eagle Lake. Committal services will be after at the parish cemetery.
