PLYMOUTH – John “Jack” J. Connors Jr., 75, died Nov. 1, 2011, at his home with his family at his side after a short battle with cancer. He was born Nov. 21, 1935, in Wakefield, Mass., a son of John and Florence (Davis) Connors Sr.

He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany for two years. John moved from Charlestown, Mass., to Maine with his family in 1988. He loved bargain hunting and reselling. For a short time he had his own shop, Wise Buys, an antique and “what not” shop. He worked at several trucking companies in Massachusetts.

Jack also enjoyed working the odds in the lottery.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Ann (Benoit) Connors of Plymouth; son, Lt. Eric Connors of Minot, N.D.; four brothers, Thomas of Mississippi, James of Middleboro, Mass., Donald of Medford, Mass., and Freddie of New Hampshire; five sisters, Norah Maimone of Swansea, Mass., Sydney DiMartino of Springfield, Mass., Patricia Donahue of Florida, Barbara Courtney of Arundel and Florence Bartles of Everett, Mass.; many nieces and nephews, including two special nieces, Pauline McLaughlin and Patsy Gould. He was predeceased by his father; stepfather and mother, Thomas and Florence Kennedy; and two sisters, Effie Aldrich and Helen Driscoll.

Military committal services will be held at a later date in Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans, John F. Kennedy Chapter No. 6, P.O.
