BREWER – Harmon B. Treworgy, 89, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011 at a Bangor hospital. He was born March 23, 1922, in Verona, the son of Elwin and Mary (Bennett) Treworgy.

Harmon grew up in Verona and Bangor. He was a 1939 graduate of Bangor High School. After school he enlisted in the Army Air Corps, where he was an aircraft mechanic and later in the Navy Seabees. Harmon had more than 30 years of service to his country and was a Vietnam veteran. After his military career he worked for RB Harriman Inc., and Brake Service until his retirement in 1987. He will always be remembered as a dependable, kind and hardworking man.

Harmon is survived by his children, Stuart Treworgy of Cumberland, R.I., Sherry Treworgy of Orland and her significant other, John Wentworth, of Brewer, Penny Buckley and her husband, Earl, of Levant, and Bruce Treworgy and his significant other, Kathy Shaw, of Glenburn; stepchildren, Betty Mustachio and her husband, Joe, of Seagrove Beach, Fla., and Roberta Gilbert of Old Town; grandchildren, Mike Treworgy, Charles Carter, Randy Carter, Heather Carter, Michele Hayes, Jill Sagro, Jeff Mealey, Quinn Moody, Tonia Barton, Donald Rowe, Joey Rowe and Amberlea Munson; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Jen Wilson and her husband, Ted, of Bangor; and a sister-in-law, Dot Treworgy of Veazie. In addition to his parents, Hamron was predeceased by his fist wife, Ethel (Howard) Treworgy; second wife, Geraldine (Oldenburg) Treworgy; stepdaughter, Peggy Spencer; and brothers, Everett and Stuart Treworgy.

Friends are welcome to call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at Brookings-Smith Brewer Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18.
