HUDSON, Fla., and PRESQUE ISLE – Gerald E. Malloch, 91, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, at his residence. He was born Nov. 12, 1920, in Robbinston, son of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Malloch.

Gerald served in the U.S. Army during World War II and later served in the U.S. Navy Reserve. He worked for many years at Central Maine Power as a water wheel technician.

He was a 50-year member of Cumberland Masonic Lodge AF & AM No. 12, New Gloucester, and Scottish Rites Bodies in the Valley of the Androscoggin and Valley of Portland. Gerald loved to work outdoors and enjoyed woodworking as well.

He is survived by his two daughters, Mary Lynn Malloch of Lewes, Del., and Alice Marie Malloch of Presque Isle. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Edith (Rhoades) Malloch; and a very special mother-in-law, Alice E. Murdock.

A graveside service with military honors will be conducted 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, at Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou, with Pastor Larry Palmer officiating.
