SANGERVILLE – Marie S. Howard, 83, wife of Edwin Howard, died Nov. 18, 2011, at Hibbard Nursing Home, Dover-Foxcroft. She was born May 2, 1928, in Patterson, N.J., the daughter of James and Hazel (Mutter) Hollins.
She was a graduate of Hawthorne High School, class of 1945, and Ridgewood School of Fine Art. Marie was a journalist, writing for several area newspapers. She was the recipient of several awards, both state and New England.
Marie is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Edwin of Sangerville; four children, Keith Howard of Belfast, Kevin Howard of Frankfort, Lynn Marie Eastman of Sangerville and Ken Howard of Old Town; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and a twin sister, Hazel MacHarrie of Sangerville.
