BANGOR – Marilyn A. Willette, 75, passed away Nov. 17, 2011, at a local hospital with her beloved son at her side. She was born June 4, 1936, in Bangor, daughter of Carleton and Juliette (Richards) Libbey.
Marilyn attended Bangor schools and was employed at Bangor Mental Health Institute for several years where she made friends with co-workers and patients. She will be missed and remembered for many happy times at the slots in Atlantic City, N.J., and when the house shook while watching Red Sox games. Marilyn was very crafty; she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn was predeceased by a sister, Carlene Libbey; and her beloved daughter, Victoria Jean Wyman, who was with her for a short 11 years. She is survived by her beloved son, Frank Wyman Jr. and his wife, Barbara; two sisters, Claudette Daniels and Patricia Libbey; grandson, Matthew Wyman; granddaughter, Tracy (Wyman) Allen and her husband, Jeremy, of North Carolina; and the joys of her life, three great-grandchildren, Ewan, Liam and the baby girl she just met, 18-month-old Shilo Allen. She will be missed by her companion of many years, Lloyd Williams; her favorite cousin, Rosemary Driggers, who shared so many happy times; her aunts and uncles, Reginald and Geraldine Richards, and Raymond and Virginia Gagne.
A graveside service will be held Nov. 22 for the family. Arrangements by Greenlawn Funeral Directors, Bangor.
