ORRINGTON and SOUTH BREWER – Paul Nelson Hatch Sr., 81, husband of the late Virginia “Ginny” Hatch, died Nov. 23, 2011, at a local nursing home. He was born July 7, 1930, in Dover-Foxcroft, son of Arland and Anna (Dow) Hatch.
Paul worked at Bangor Mental Health for 26 years. After his retirement he enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. Paul was a retired World War II veteran.
He is survived by three sons, Richard and his wife, Julie Hatch, Wayne and his longtime companion, Diane, and Paul Nelson Hatch Jr.; one daughter, Melanie Bowers and her husband, Robert, his lifelong friend of 64 years; one brother, Arland Hatch Jr. and his wife, Joyce, of Florida; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
