ELLSWORTH – Ella N. Conley, 86, died Nov. 26, 2011, at an Ellsworth hospital. She was born Nov. 22, 1925, in Hoboken, N.J., the daughter of Russell H. and Ivy E. (Symons) Nason.
Ella graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1945. She married George H. Conley in 1964. She worked for 41 years as the clerk for the Registry of Deeds at Hancock County Court House. She enjoyed meeting friends at Riverside Cafe, loved watching TV and riding around town with family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Union Congregational Church of Ellsworth Falls, UCC and its Mother’s Club.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, George; daughters, Elizabeth Ramirez and husband, Marius, of Ellsworth and Margaret Conley of Seattle; grandchildren, Verity and Demelza Ramirez of Ellsworth; sister, Evelyn Ashmore of Ellsworth; brother, Cecil Nason and wife, Nancy, of Ellsworth; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Ethel Williams.
Calling hours will be held noon-1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth, where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Interment will be at Woodbine Cemetery, Ellsworth.
