LEWISTON, Maine — A Lewiston woman is facing an arson charge after the state fire marshal’s office determined she set fire to a building she lives in, police said.

Wendy Bryce, 41, of Lewiston was arrested Wednesday afternoon, according to Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland.

The fire started on a porch and damage was confined to the outside of the Orange Street duplex home. The fire was reported at 1:30 p.m., and the building had smoke and water damage.

Nobody was injured in the fire, McCausland said.

Bryce is being held at the Androscoggin County Jail on $20,000 bail.

Lewiston police and fire officials assisted in the investigation.
