HERMON and PORTSMOUTH, R.I. – Beatrice Mildred (Pomeroy) Duplisea, 96, of 24 McCorrie Lane, Portsmouth, R.I., died Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, at Newport Hospital, Newport, R.I. Born Dec. 28, 1914, in Hermon, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Dora (Banks) Pomeroy.

She was the wife of the late Orrin Booker and the late Irving Duplisea. She is survived by her daughter, Clara Louise Cotta and her husband, William, of Portsmouth, R.I.; her sisters, Bernice Adams of Hermon, Arlene Brown of Bangor and Eloise Grimes of New Jersey; her granddaughter, Catherine Huling of Portsmouth, R.I.; her stepgrandchildren, Billy Cotta and Nora Harris, both of Portsmouth, R.I.; her great-grandchildren, Sarah McGee of Newport, R.I., and Andrew Huling of Portsmouth, R.I.; her great-stepgrandson, Chris Cotta of Portsmouth, R.I.; and her great-great-granddaughter, Hannah Rose McGee of Newport, R.I. She was the sister of the late Donald Pomeroy, Wayne Pomeroy, Dorothea Leighton, Marjorie Ireland, Pearl Nowell, Geraldine Haley and Jennie Henderson.
