SANGERVILLE – Our beloved Udo Schneider, 53, passed away Nov. 29, 2011, at Mayo Regional Hospital, Dover-Foxcroft. Udo was born May 16, 1958, in Simmersbach, Germany, son of Irmgard Schneider.
He is survived by five children, eight grandchildren and his beloved dog, Sylvie. His son, Lukas and daughter, Mariah, live in Sangerville; his daughters, Sabrina, Jessica and Jennifer, as well as his eight grandchildren live in Germany.
Udo was proud of all his children and he adored his grandchildren. He was educated in Germany and served proudly and honorably in the German Army. Udo was employed at Hilltop Manor, a division of Davis Long Term Care Group, Dover-Foxcroft, for more than 11 years. Udo was loved by all the residents and staff, he thought of them as his extended family. He will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Private memorial services will be held at Crosby & Neal, Guilford, with Pastor Stephen Dean officiating. A celebration of his life will be held 3-5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, at Mount Kineo Masonic Lodge, Guilford. For an online guest register, go to
