BANGOR – Robert A. Day passed away Dec. 3, 2011, at a Bangor hospital, after a longterm illness. Bob was born Nov. 3, 1933, in Old Town, the son of Edward and Estelle Day.
He married the wonderful Lorraine (Bernard), Jan. 7, 1956, in Howland. They spent most of their lives in Bangor.
In addition to his wife of 56 years, he is survived by daughter, Lori Ann Day and Russell Peters; and grandsons, Brandon Homstead and wife, Haley, and Jacob Homstead and wife, Airanna. Bob was blessed with four great-grandchildren, Logan, Lincoln, Bella and Cadence. He is also survived by brothers, Richard and Kenneth Day; and sister, Helen Turner.
A funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at St. John’s Catholic Church, Bangor, with a reception immediately after.
