OLD TOWN and BANGOR – Eva M. Brilliant Moore, 91, passed away peacefully Dec. 9, 2011, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born Jan. 20, 1920, in Old Town, daughter of William and Demerise (Levasseur) Brilliant.
She was a longtime member of Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 3177, Brewer.
Eva is survived by her sons, William Moore of Passadumkeag, Bruce Moore of Old Town and Richard Moore of Cape Cod, Mass.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Meladore Ouellette of Old Town; many nieces and nephews; and close friends, Robert Norton, Martha Beers and Irma Wedge. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, John W. Moore, in 1978; daughter, Beverly, 3, in 1949; and son, Robert Moore, in 1980.
A graveside service will take place in mid May 2012 at Riverview Cemetery, Bucksport. Donations toward funeral expenses may be sent in care of Robert Norton, 33 Pushaw Road, Bangor, ME 04401. Arrangements are under the direction of Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 28 Elm St., Bucksport.
