ST. AGATHA – Roger Lizotte, 84, died peacefully Dec. 12, 2011, at Forest Hill Manor, Fort Kent, after a long illness. He was born May 19, 1927, in Madawaska, son of Victorie and Zeline (Michaud) Lizotte.

He was a member of Catholic Order of Forester since 1946, retired as supervisor for National Starch & Chemical Corp. after 47 years of service in 1989. Roger loved woodworking, fishing and gardening, and will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Antoinette Cyr; three daughters and their husbands, Nancy and Jessie Michaud of Frenchville, Judy and Richard Martin of Sinclair, and Kathleen and Jeffrey Cyr of St. Agatha; 11 grandchildren, Launie and Jake Martin, Naomi, Nathan, Noah and Nina Michaud, Jamous and Lorin Lizotte, and Kether, Manni and Richard Cyr; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; one sister, Mrs. Anita Chasse of Madawaska; five sisters-in-law, Mrs. Jeannette Diron, Marie May Cyr, Lorraine and brother-in-law, Conrad Cyr, all of Connecticut, Fernande and brother-in-law, Maurice, of California, and Mrs. Gerte’ Lizotte of Madawaska; and one brother-in-law, Edwin Cyr of Fort Kent. He was predeceased by one son, Roger Lizotte Jr.; seven brothers, two sisters, and one brother-in-law.

Friends and relatives may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, and 8:30 a.m. Thursday until time of service at Michaud Funeral Home, St. Agatha. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Agatha Catholic Church with the Rev. Phil Cyr officiating.
