TUCSON, Ariz. – Abram C. Crouse, 72, died Dec. 8, 2011, at Southern Arizona Veterans Affairs Health Center. He was born Oct. 24, 1939, in Crouseville, the son of Abram and Ona (Haynes).

Abram served in the U.S. Army. He farmed in Crouseville for a number of years, then moved to Arizona, where he worked as a machinist at the University of Arizona. He was an avid reader, loved farming and guns, and collected miniature tractors.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline (Ellis) Crouse of Tucson, Ariz.; and two sisters, Crystal Cunningham of Crouseville and Jo Anne Peterson of Florida. He was predeceased by a son, Clifford Crouse, in 1992; and a sister, Opal Armstrong.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with the Rev. William Roix officiating. Friends may call noon until time of service at the funeral home. Spring interment with military honors will be at Crouseville Cemetery, Crouseville.
