LINCOLN – Charles Earl Nelson Sr., 69, died Dec. 13, 2011, at a Lincoln hospital. He was born Feb. 2, 1942, in Bridgewater, the son of Earl “Timmy” and Grace (Weeks) Nelson.
Earl enjoyed driving truck for a living. He was a loving father and grandfather. He loved watching the Celtics and loved watching the Patriots get their butts kicked.
He is survived by seven children, Charles “Tim” Nelson Jr. and his wife, Beth, of Lincoln, Cindee Nelson of Connecticut, Bill Nelson and his wife, Raeann, Guy “Bub” Nelson and his wife, Melissa, and Andrea Pelkey and her husband, Yancey, all of Lincoln, Ernest “Lee” Connors and his girlfriend, Donna, of Topsfield and Tina Ham of Princeton; 19 grandchildren, Timothy, Chase, Avarie, Camryn, Katie, Kemper, Brett, Sophia, Natalie, Grace, Ethan, Ahneah, Dustin, Matthew, Craig, Kirstin, Lindsay, Courtney and Tyler; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert “Bob” Nelson; and a sister, Peggy Nelson. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Donna and Pat “Trisha”; and a son-in-law, Bryon “Bones” Ham.
