HERMON – Judith J. (McGinley) Estes, 70, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, from injuries sustained in an auto accident. She was born Feb. 3, 1941, in Bangor, the daughter of George and Melora (Haynes)

McGinley.

Judith enjoyed playing cards with her friends and grandchildren, and playing bingo. She loved going to Camp Roosevelt and worked with the Boy Scouts of America for more than 20 years.

Judith is survived by her son, Keith Estes and his wife, Lynne, of Bluff City, Tenn.; daughter, Kim Blood and her husband, Clayton Jr., of Hampden; brothers, George McGinley Jr. and his wife, Rose, of North Belmore, N.Y., and Douglas McGinley and his wife, Sylvia, of Hermon; sisters, Gloria Pickard and her husband, Gerald, of Hermon, Mona Small of Hermon and Pat Goodspeed and her husband, Robert, of Hermon; her very special grandchildren, Jenna Mooers, Cameron Blood, Amber Estes and Travis Estes; many nieces and nephews.

Friends are welcome to call 6-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, with the Rev. Richard M. Dickinson officiating. After the services friends and relatives are invited to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor.
