DALLAS and BANGOR – Louis “Lou” Bohan, 68, passed away Dec. 15, 2011, at Bailor Hospital, Dallas. He was born April 15, 1943, in Brewer, the son of Louis J. and Alice A. (England) Bohan.

Lou graduated from Bangor High School in 1961. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps and trained at Parris Island, S.C., in 1963. After leaving the Marine Corps he continued to travel all over the United States with his job in security and other interests. He worked in offices throughout the states. Lou spent most of his time between Texas and Wisconsin. He would come home to Maine for visits with family, always getting off the plane in Boston and renting a car to drive up Route 1 enjoying the coastline. Lou had many friends all over the country, as well as family in Texas. He was always happy and made everyone he came in contact with feel special and happy.

Lou is survived by his stepson, Danny Davis and his wife, Michele, of Missouri City, Texas; a stepdaughter, Linda Cooley of Choecotah, Okla.; grandchildren, Heather, Timothy, Merideth and Cassie; one great-grandson, Jason; a brother, Thomas B. Bohan and his wife, Pam, of Pensauken, N.J.; three sisters, Eleanor Bohan and Madeline L. Mathews, both of Brewer, and Nancy L. Flagg and husband, Skip, of Holden; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and two sisters, Marilyn Stoner and Jeraldine Sprague.

Services will be private for family only at a later date.
