NEWBURGH – Robert E. Giles, 75, passed away peacefully Dec. 18, 2011, at a Bangor health care facility. Robert was born Jan. 22, 1936, in Hampden, to the late Lewis Sr. and Velma (Arey) Giles.
Bobby worked for many years as a superintendent for MD Hardy, Hampden, before retiring due to illness. Bobby will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 50 years, Jessie M. Giles; sons, Michael and wife, Kelly, and Kurt, of all of Newburgh; grandchildren, Neil, Bailey and Natalie; brothers, Lewis Jr. and Frank; and sister, Florence Allbritton. Bobby was predeceased by his parents; brother, Stanley; and sisters, Kathleen, Shirley, Lucille and Geneva.
In keeping with Robert’s wishes, services will be private in the spring. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden.
