LAKELAND, Fla. – Harold S. Field, 84, passed away Dec. 13, 2011, at home. He was born Nov. 4, 1927, in Old Town, son of Ralph E. and Eliza Strout Field.

He was the beloved husband and best friend to his wife; devoted and loving father to his children. He attended Old Town schools and Eastern Maine Vocational Technical Institute, served in the U.S. Navy, worked at the University of Maine, and started his own business, Hal’s Cabinet Shop. Later in years, he moved to Florida were he continued his love of woodworking on yachts and motor home coaches. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, Old Town.

Harold was predeceased by his son, Ralph A. Field; parents; brother, Wallace R. Field and wife, Elizabeth; and grandson, Erik C. Crocker. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Clementine Robichaud Field; three daughters, Sandra and Robert Twiss, Paula and Bob Howe, and Deborah and Edward Crocker; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
