FRENCHBORO – Norma B. Teel passed away Dec. 15, 2011, with her family by her side after a long illness. She was born Feb. 5, 1926, in Frenchboro, to Helen E. and Thomas B. Lunt Sr.

She graduated from Waterville High School and served as postmaster in Frenchboro for more than 25 years. Later in life Norma became quite a talented artist, who enjoyed painting seascapes, but always wanted to learn more ways to improve her skill. She devoted her life to caring for her family and was always there when they needed her. She attended Frenchboro Congregational Church for many years.

Norma was predeceased by her husband, Raymond L. Teel; and her brother, Thomas B. Lunt Jr. Surviving are her two sons, Brad Teel and his wife, Jane, of Veazie and Bill Teel of Port Angeles, Wash.; her brother and his wife, Basil and Lorraine Lunt of Tennessee and their children and grandchildren; granddaughters, Aerie Teel of Eugene, Ore., Miranda Teel and Kelsea Teel, both of Anacortes, Wash.; grandson, Will Teel of Brunswick; and two great-grandsons, Evan and Owen of Anacortes, Wash. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed by her family and those whose lives she touched. The family thanks all who helped Norma in her later years and especially Jin Roy, who became a very special friend.

At her request, there will be no funeral service. A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
