MILLINOCKET – Carrie W. Farquhar “Co-Pilot,” 86, joined her husband, Doug Farquhar “Bush Pilot,” Dec. 25, 2011, at a local health care facility. Carrie was born Aug. 7, 1925, in Millinocket, daughter of Ralph L., and Carrie (Sturgeon) Robinson.

Carrie liked knitting, crocheting, going camping, fishing, traveling to state fairs all around the country, flying, and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren which was the best thing she enjoyed. In her earlier years she worked at IGA, Millinocket and also at Smart’s.

Carrie is survived by her son, Douglas Farquhar and wife, Norma; two grandchildren, Paul Farquhar and wife, Pam, and their children, Sidney and Ben, and Julie Ann Farquhar and her daughters, Danielle Michaud and Mackenzie Michaud; a very special niece, Helen Campbell and her husband, Bill; sister-in-law, Joyce Robinson; brother-in-law, Butch Farquhar and wife, Trudy, who were faithful visitors; brothers, Preston, Ralph, Earl, and Paul Robinson; and many special friends and relatives. In addition to her husband, Doug, Carrie was predeceased by a sister, Corrine Cotton; brothers, Byron, Leo, Donald, Wilmot “Wiggie,” Charles and Eldon Robinson. The family thanks the staff at Katahdin Health Care for the wonderful care and attention that was given to Carrie.
