NEW SWEDEN – Dana Wesley Johnson, 55, died Dec. 23, 2011, at a Bangor hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born Sept. 26, 1956, in Caribou, son of Evelyn and the late Wesley W. Johnson. He was the youngest of three siblings.
Dana graduated from Caribou High School and enjoyed traveling to Florida, Alaska and California during his younger years. He resided in New Sweden most of his life, and worked in construction and farming. He was a confirmed member of Gustaf Adolph Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Naegeli of Laguna Woods, Calif.; brother, Dorian Johnson of New Sweden; sister and brother-in-law, Lynne and Claude Joseph of Lihue, Hawaii; and close family friend, Rebecca Cummings of Caribou.
