ISLESBORO – Barbara Roberts died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011. Born March 16, 1923, in Lawrence, Mass., she grew up in North Andover, Mass., and Deerfield, N.H.
She graduated from Simmons College and received a Master of Arts from Columbia University. She taught at Hill School in Virginia, Grosse Pointe University School in Michigan and Princeton Day School in New Jersey.
She is survived by her children, Nancy Roberts of Vancouver, Canada, Peter Roberts of New York City and Diana Roberts of Islesboro.
