OLD TOWN, Maine — Two Bangor men were arrested about 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Regency Trailer Park after a concerned resident reported that one of them appeared to be intoxicated and was acting suspiciously.

The men appeared to have been using bath salts, according to a press release issued Sunday by Old Town police.

Orrin Nilsson, 31, and William Doyle, 19, both were charged with unlawful possession of synthetic hallucinogens and sale or use of drug paraphernalia, Nilsson also was charged with trafficking in dangerous knives and possession of a firearm by a felon.

In addition to the drug charges, Doyle was charged with violations of conditions of release and failure to give a correct name and date of birth.

During a search of the vehicle officer Ryan Fitch located a metal measuring spoon that contained suspected bath salts in the bowl of the spoon, the press release said. Next to the spoon was an unused hypodermic needle and a lighter, commonly used to cook the drug before injecting it. A gun also was found in car.

Nilsson and Doyle remained late Sunday at Penobscot County Jail.
They are expected to make their first court appearances Tuesday at the Penobscot Judicial Center by videoconference.

    1. I love your sense of humor.  May your heart tick a trillion more times and may you live a long life!!

    2. No you’re all set with bathsalts, they contain no sodium, but watch out for the the stuff that makes you think you have ticks in your teeth!!! AKA  toothticks.

  1. Bath Salts and a gun. It’s just a matter of time before one of these “people” kill someone!

    1. Too bad it’s not each other……what a waste of a life.  Not smart enough to go to school and further their lives, but smart enough to buy, sell, use and measure it out.  The trailer park owner should be kicking them out.

      1. Actually, Orrin was in school for over five years to become a surgeon and was employed as a surgical tech at EMMC.  Sadly, past demons have resurfaced and he has thrown away his amazingly promising future.  It’s very sad, he had tons of potential.  He was a good dude a year ago…

        1. He also is a tattoo artist/piercer at Riverview in Brewer.  I didn’t know that about the schooling for surgeon part.  Too too bad.

          1. Actually he is not a tattoo artist and never has been one at the shop. He worked at Riverview for several years as a piercer but hasn’t for a few months now.  Everybody that currently works at Riverview works hard and is responsible.  There are no junkies there and it’s annoying to see that association here on this forum.

          2. That comment wasn’t meant to bash him.  I’ve actually heard really good things about him.  A family member and I went there for her piercing (not by him) and it’s a very clean shop.  I was impressed due to the fact that he was a surgical tech and I was very comfortable with the sterility issue.  I didn’t realize he didn’t do tattoos, but if you check his FB page it says tattoo artist under employers so that was confusing.

          3. I didn’t think you were bashing him.  I’m talking about the remaining employees of that shop.  I don’t want it to become a guilt by association thing because I know everyone there very well and they are all fabulous, hard working individuals who are very dedicated to their craft.  The general public already has a hard time viewing Tattooing as the beautiful and respected art that it can be when done by the right person.  Why he listed himself as a Tattoo Artist as well is unknown to me.

        2. I knew there was a reason I don’t go to EMMC if I get sick ( other than they don’t treat people very nice, appear to be uncaring and incompatent.) Thanks for giving me another reason not to go.

  2. There seems to be an endless supply of losers in the Bangor area…….or are these the same people getting caught and released over and over again????……

    1. You realize that not all EMMC employees are responsible for your direct medical care, don’t you?  They have housekeepers, computer techs, maintainance, public relations, secretaries, etc.

  3. Bath salt users that have young children, babies perhaps, and then neglect them until they die is a real issue. It happens you know, sometimes even in Bangor.

  4. Well lets see what our great court system does to these two, my guess is nothing except slap them on the wrist and say be good boys…then let them go.  We really have not heard anything about what the courts are doing about bath salts.

  5. I am curious as to the reason why that these people are not charged with manufacturing, after all they are banned in the State of Maine correct?  If they are not manufacturing  the drugs themselves, then why shouldn’t there be federal charges brought upon them for bringing this trash across state lines?

  6. Its great they get caught but for whatever reason our justice system will just let them out. It amazes me what people can wheel and deal for with the DA at the cost to society and family members who only want to see them held accountable. Nilsson does list EMMC as his place of employment actually he is a surgical scrub tech ,surgery has never been safer. It also list him in this article as a previous felon, so I am not sure how he is attending college or became employed at EMMC in the first place.

    1. He was enrolled in college because he was trying to better himself.  He got a fantastic job as a result from his hard work.  Hard work gets you these results, unfortunately he couldn’t maintain.  Glad you’ve never made any mistakes, you must be the coolest person in the world.
