MANCHESTER, Maine — Members of the Occupy New Hampshire group say they’re planning a regional gathering in the days leading up to the New Hampshire presidential primary.

Organizers are calling the Jan. 6-10 event in Manchester “Occupy the New Hampshire Primary.” The primary will be held Jan. 10.

Occupy Maine says its members, as well as others from Massachusetts and New York, will travel to New Hampshire to be on hand. Organizers say the event features marches, debates, street theater, workshops and entertainment, but there are no plans to interfere with primary day voting.

Occupy groups are protesting what they see as income inequality and corporate greed.

  1. If the weather is too cold they won’t show up in big numbers.  Back in the fall many commented, “wait til it gets cold”.  Occupiers said they were prepared to stick it out.  Looks like that lasted only until the temps hit single digits.  Ice fishermen are more dedicated.  Must be all the beer.

  2. Romney made his millions by slashing jobs in the private sector — I’d say this is a great protest spot for a group fighting against corporate greed.

    1. Yes the only entity that hires and never fires is the bloated government and its all consuming bureaucracy. Id say bring Romney in and start slashing the federal workforce..till it hurts.

      1. Let’s twist and turn and somehow find a way to applaud killing private sector jobs. What a joke.

        1. Good lord…anyone who is all about militarism and bombing Islamic nations back to the stone age simply because they talk tough, yet pose no real threat to our awesome might, is NOT a conservative.  America is not a country that has risen up through interventionist foreign policy and empire, it is simply not a component of our tradition of liberty and restrained governement.

      2. I believe that “is ” the Conservative Agenda now that the Corporations have all the Money and Power.

End the Government and put themselves in its place!

  3. I hope they do not loose sight of why they are there, eh?

Wellstone: They Killed Him – Building on the book,
American Assassination, co-authored by Four Arrows and Jim
Fetzer, this documentary examines the mysterious death of Senator Paul
Wellstone on a calm October 25, 2002 morning – just 11 days before the
US Senate election in which he was running for a
third term.  The Senator was a leading critic of the neo-con push for
war on Iraq. Snowshoefilms builds the case – relying on eyewitnesses
whose testimony was ignored or changed by the NTSB and the FBI — that
Wellstone was assassinated when his plane crashed
in northern Minnesota, killing all 8 aboard.  On the scene just minutes
after the local first-responders, the FBI immediately ruled out foul
play. Witnesses said the plane was flying cockeyed, tree–top level,
lights out, losing altitude – yet there was no
mayday call.  Eventually the NTSB would rule the crash ‘pilot error’.
In addition to many key witnesses and friends of Wellstone, the film
relies the expert testimony of pilots, chemists and electromagnetic
pulse weapons, including professors John Costella,
Don Trent Jacobs (Four Arrows) Jim Fetzer, Michael Niman, et al.

Strong, credible allegations of high-level criminal activity can bring
down a government. When the government lacks an effective, fact-based
defense, other techniques must be employed. The success of these
techniques depends heavily upon a cooperative, compliant press and a
        mere token opposition party.

Dummy up. If it’s not reported, if it’s not news, it didn’t happen.
Wax indignant. This is also known as the “how dare you?” gambit.
Characterize the charges as “rumors” or, better yet, “wild
rumors.” If, in spite of the news blackout, the public is still able to
learn about the suspicious facts, it can only be through “rumors.”
Knock down straw men. Deal only with the weakest aspect of the
weakest charges. Even better, create your own straw men. Make up wild
rumors and give them lead play when you appear to debunk all the
        charges, real and fanciful alike.
Call the skeptics names like “conspiracy theorist,” “nut,”
“ranter,” “kook,” “crackpot,” and of course, “rumor monger.” You must
then carefully avoid fair and open debate with any of the people you
        have thus maligned.

Change the subject. This technique includes creating and/or reporting a distraction.

  4. Someone occupy Romney and Santorum…these war mongers are gonna get more of everyone else’s kids killed with their ridiculous pledges to “Bomb Iran”…we need a leader steeped in the American tradition, not another progressive or neocon that thinks butting our noses in everyone else’s business (both at home  and abroad) is somehow an American value.
