ORONO and BANGOR – Norma F. McClure, 79, died Jan. 1, 2012 at a Brewer health care facility after a short illness. She was born Sept. 12, 1932, in Augusta, daughter of Harry and Isabelle (Moody) McPherson.
Norma graduated from Bangor High School. She worked as a secretary at Fifth Street School for a number of years and then was employed by Eastern Maine Medical Center in the registration department prior to retiring. Norma was an avid knitter, producing many lovely sweaters, etc. She was a life master of American Bridge Club, a lover of cats and a life member of A.S.P.C.A.
Norma is survived by numerous cousins from Maine and Florida.
Funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with Pastor Arthur C. Dean, of Bible Baptist Church, Bangor, officiating.
