BREWER, Maine — A local man who called police Friday morning saying he had been assaulted by his girlfriend was later arrested for domestic violence assault, said Brewer police Sgt. Anthony Pinette.
“He said he had a bloody nose” but responding officers found no evidence that he had been assaulted, the sergeant said.
Gregory Pratley, 29, was injury free, however, his 23-year-old girlfriend had scrapes and scratches, Pinette said. Police were called to the apartment the two share around 6:30 a.m. Friday.
“Once we got there we determined he was the primary aggressor based on her statements and injuries observed,” Pinette said. “They were arguing over missing medication.”
Pratley was charged with assault and taken to Penobscot County Jail. He was later released, a jail official said. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)

Another tough guy beating on a woman. Then is such a slimeball that he wanted to put her in jail.Probably cause he gave her his best shot and she was still standing.
Arguing over medications….what a pair…
So goes the battle. I’ll bet the medication was paid for with Maine Care and they can get high on it if they use it right. Good chance for a demand to see by the doctor and a pill count and if every thing isn’t as it should be kick them off Maine Care.
where does it say they are on maine care?
Arguing over medication.
Argument gets physical.
They both say that the other did it.
They are on mainecare, pretty certain of that.
Just sentence them before we get the facts. I would like to have you on my jury not.
Ignorant statement
Any female, no matter how much of a violent loser she may be, can get a man arrested. Police are trained to believe whatever any woman says and care little for the men. Predominant Aggressor laws in Maine mean that 99% of the time it is the man who gets arrested even if he is the one who has been assaulted and calls the police. Just read what the radical feminists have forced the police to do when determining who is the “predominant aggressor”. The laws are biased and are designed to abuse male victims. http://www.renewamerica.com/columns/roberts/100201
Typical abusive behavior call the cops first so you can accuse the victim of abusing you.
I was not thier , Woman hit men far more often than men hit woman . The man is the one usually arrested. Many woman lie will hit themselves to leave marks. As far as the court system goes its what is politically correct that counts. If the woman latter tell the DA she lied about him hitting her the DA will refuse to drop charges. The statement the she makes proves she broke the law . Either by saying he hit her or that she did not hit her . She will not be charged either way. Many men will take a plea bargin even if they are not guilty . Its a no will for the ones that did not do it. If this case goes to trial and it turns out she is the one that hit him. mostly he will get convicted if she keeps to her story. Politics and law have no place together.
Not.
