LINCOLN – Earl G. Jipson, 80, died peacefully Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, at his home. He was born July 5, 1931, in Lincoln, the son of Earl and Leonice (Quint) Jipson.

Earl served as a corporal in the armed services during the Korean War. He was a proud member of International Order of Odd Fellows organization. He worked for A&P grocery, Darling’s Auto Parts, Lincoln, and for UPS, Brewer. Earl loved people and enjoyed sharing stories of the many adventures he and Wilma encountered on their numerous cross-country RV trips. Some of his favorite local trips were to the Maine coast. In retirement he and Wilma spent many winters oceanside in South Carolina. At home he found great pleasure in creating wood working crafts in his workshop. He loved living by the lake and always enjoyed the nature that surrounded him.

Earl is survived by his wife of 59 years, Wilma; several nieces and nephews; his two daughters, Karen (Jipson) and her husband, Lawrence Robbins, of Ballston Lake, N.Y., and Susan Jipson of Ellensburg, Wash.; two granddaughters, Christine Robbins of Cincinnati and Stephanie Robbins of Arlington, Mass.

Friends may call 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan 10, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, with funeral service 1 p.m. with the Rev. Chester Dana officiating.
