BUCKSPORT – Raymond Oley Ward, 40, died unexpectedly Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, at his home. He was born March 21, 1971, in Waterville, the son of Boyd A. and Sandra J. (Clark) Ward.

He graduated from Bucksport High School and worked as a welder for Cianbro Corp. Raymond enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, four wheeling and snowmobiling.

He also took great joy in spending time with his family.

He is survived by his parents, Boyd and Sandra Ward of Bucksport; one son, Damon Klinedinst of Bucksport; maternal grandmother, June Clark of Bangor; paternal stepgrandfather, Billy Blaisdel of Freedom; three sisters, Allison Skartvedt and husband, Ward, of Henderson, Nev., Christy Goodwin of Charleston and Sarah Ward of Bucksport; nieces and nephew, Jennifer, Samantha, Corey, Trenidy and Meredith; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Kenneth Clark; his paternal grandmother, Grace Ward-Blaisdel; and paternal grandfather, Raymond Ward.

Family and friends will gather for a celebration of Raymond’s life 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, at Edward K. Arey Community Center, River Road, Bucksport. Interment will be in the spring.

Memorial contributions in Raymond’s memory may be made to his son to help with education costs: Boyd and Sandra Ward, 8 Ward Drive, Bucksport, ME 04416. Arrangements are under the direction of Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport.
