  1. Isn’t it great that being a thug has been made to seem acceptable and even desirable in music and movies? I hope this kid has strong parents that will do the right things to turn him around before he completely destroys his life before it’s even begun.

  2. Wow starting younger all the time, probably saw it in a movie or learned it from a video game….they are always degrading women and praying on them. Sick video creators…sick world.

  3. Must have been a practice run. Seriously how much cash could he expect to get from an 11 year old’s purse?

  4. Why are we surprised? Words such as honesty and integrity are no longer expressed in our culture. As a matter of fact, many young people find a moral compass laughable. Don’t blame the kid; blame what we’ve given him to live by.

  5. The boy is probably homeless while his parents are off in a slumped up position, drunk or high seems to b the norm these days,  Lewiston is 1 armpit of Maine, throw his sorry @ss in juvy till he’s 21, teach him some manners & morals, a lot of parents & kids need that in the days ahead.

  6. Well, well,  this 14 year old sounds like an up and coming winner….I’m sure it will be only a matter of time before we hear about this 14 year old again only as an adult….and where might I ask were his parental type folk?

  7. I’m not sure why this incident became an AP news story.  There have 14 year old bullies strong-arming and stealing from younger kids for longer than the 58 years I’ve been around.

  8. If I had done this at age 14 the police would have never be involved….and I would not have been able to sit down for at least a month which would have been the least of my resulting problems……
