FAIRFAX, Va. — A man suspected of slashing young women on their backsides in a series of incidents at shopping outlets in Virginia has been arrested in Peru.

Interpol tells WTOP Radio that 40-year-old Johnny Pimentel was arrested Friday in a Lima shopping mall and is being held. Peruvian police arrested him at the request of police in Fairfax County, Virginia.

Police say the process of extraditing him to the United States would take some time. An arrest warrant had been issued for Pimentel in September, but police learned in December that he was in his native Peru.

Between February and July of last year, nine women reported being slashed on their buttocks at malls and retail outlets in Fairfax County. None suffered serious injuries.

    1. I remember when this was going on.  They actually caught the guy on video sneaking up behind people.  The things people will do…

      1. I feel bad for these ladies.  To be scared for life in such a delicate place, not to mention the pain and humiliation.

  1. Another Illegal Alien Criminal comes to this country, commits crimes, then runs from prosecution. Wonder how this Illegal got into the USA?
