BANGOR, Maine — A Willow Street man was arrested and charged with assault and disorderly conduct after he allegedly punched a woman and subsequently swore at police officers who went to the scene.
Scott Alley, 48, of Bangor had gotten into an argument with a 28-year-old female acquaintance, police Sgt. Paul Edwards said, and when he wouldn’t stop screaming at officers investigating the assault report, he also was charged with disorderly conduct.
“He was warned to knock it off and did not,” the sergeant said.
The female victim had a bloody nose but did not require a trip to the hospital, according to Edwards. Alley was arrested and charged with Class D assault and Class E disorderly conduct and taken to Penobscot County Jail, where he later was released on bail.
Alley faces a year in jail if convicted on the assault charge and up to six months on the disorderly conduct count.

Why wasn’t Ally arrested for battery? The Bangor PD know he hit her, she shouldn’t have to press charges, they should.
Alley was arrested and charged with Class D assault and Class E
disorderly conduct and taken to Penobscot County Jail, where he was
later released on bail. Was charged with assault. Theres no such charge in Maine called battery.
No indication they were married or even girlfriend boyfriend so domestic assault is out.
Can’t you get a domestic violence charge against a father, mother, brother, and so on? Maybe that’s charged as assault?
bath salts?
Drinking?
She should have been taken to the hospital automatically to obtain evidence.
And who is going to pay for this us tax payers?
….
WOOOOOOHOOOOO!!! So is throw away the key, throw the book at them, lock them up, back on the streets, bath salts, mensa candidate, dad of the year, mom of the year, typical BDN, and nearly anything in, “parenthesis”. But I sure can’t wait to get home and read the BDN, and all my friends and neighbors comments.
…
folks please, the inmates are running the Asylum.

Deputy U.S. Marshal Stephen Linder stepped way over the line, federal authorities say.
A Chicago fed grand jury last week indicted him for civil rights violations for allegedly assaulting handcuffed prisoners.
The Justice Department alleged that Linder, 36, choked a handcuffed
man on July 8, 2010, and head-butted a handcuffed man on May 13, 2008
and allegedly persuaded another law enforcement officer to withhold
evidence of the 2008 assault.
We know that. Give it a rest already.
We all know the inmates are running the asylum already, they are called politicians and big business.
