WOOLWICH – Kenneth Paul Cote passed away peacefully Jan. 11, 2012, at Winship Green Nursing Home, Bath, after a long battle with diabetes, just six days shy of his 82nd birthday, Jan. 17, 2012. He was born in Limestone, the youngest of 13 children to Eva Theriault Cote and Alfred Cote.

He attended Limestone schools, later joining the Navy from 1950 to 1955, serving on the USS Worcester. Later he worked for several construction companies, working on projects throughout the state.

He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Marion “Molly” Sanders Cote; his sisters, Sadie Johndro, Gladys Shaw and Vera Herndon; and brothers, Rueben, Levi “Steve,” Charles, Cecil, Wilfred, Beecher and Chester. Kenneth is survived by brothers, Ernest of Limestone and Alfred of California; many nieces and nephews; and four special friends, Joanne Rioux, Charlie Springer, Carolyn Kelly and Joe Pietrowicz. He appreciated and loved these folks; they were his support system.

A private committal service will be held 2 p.m. Jan. 25 at Maine Veterans Cemetery, Augusta.
